Hello! My name is Pattie Hamann and Erica Rae is my daughter.
ABATE of Colorado does a program called Erica Rae's Kids without
Christmas in her name because she was probably one of the most
giving people that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
After I lost Erica I rounded up my friends t help clean her apartment,
upon doing so we packed up four construction bags of clothes that
ranged from children to adult sizes along with numerous toys that
were in her truck. To be honest with you she made me a little crazy.
Erica was always dragging someone home, saying they won't be here
long they just need a hot meal, a shower and a place to sleep for a
while. Every weekend she was off to another garage sale collecting
things for other people's children and apparently stock piling things
that someone might need in the future. Erica had a amazing heart,
she gave to everyone in need of a helping hand. No matter how crazy
it made me I think we need to see more of it. There were no strangers
in Erica's world and I loved that about her. I was truly blessed to
have her as my daughter.
