Honorary Lifetime Membership
This membership cannot be purchased. The purpose of the Honorary Life Membership Program is to recognize for all time, extraordinary contributions by an ABATE of Colorado member for promulgating the ABATE mission. Honorary Life Members are issued a plaque in recognition of their extraordinary contributions, one Honorary Life Member patch, and are listed periodically in an honorary section of the Colorado Spokesman. Their annual membership fee from the date of the award is waived.
There are currently 5 recipients of this prestigious membership award: Mark Buckner, Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell, Red Brown and Senator Lois Tochtrop.

Jim Bishop Award
This award is named after one of our members who helped ABATE by going above and beyond the normal volunteer work. Jim graciously donated funding to keep ABATE in business after a poor fundraising effort. Any member that is not currently or previously a Board member is eligible for nomination of this award. Candidates must show contributions above and beyond normal service that benefits only ABATE and not the individual. Contributions can be monetary or personal.

Volunteer of the Year Award
Any member (including past or present Board members) may be nominated for this award. This award is to reward the member that has taken that extra step in ABATE’s mission. The nominees must be someone that has spent many hours contributing to further ABATE goals in personal service, not monetary.
